HSC Change Day Website Terms and Conditions


  1. This website is owned and operated by the Health and Social Care Change Day Core Team (“The Core Team”)
  2. A User is anyone who accesses the site, including those who do not post a pledge
  3. The Core Team cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or any linked websites. The Core Team accepts no responsibility for any claims, losses or damages (either direct or indirect) arising from the unavailability of the website or any part of it, or any linked website
  4. Where the website contains links to third party websites, the Core Team is not responsible for the content of any third party website
  5. The Core Team cannot guarantee that any information submitted to it through the website or via email will arrive safely or be secure due to potential for interception by third parties
  6. If Users submit personal information to the Core Team through the HSC Change Day website, they confirm that they agree to these Terms and Conditions and consent to the Core Team maintaining, recording, holding and using their personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for further details
  7. Content on the website is provided on an ‘as is’ basis and is provided for information only and cannot be considered to be endorsed or recommended by the Core Team
  8. The Core Team will not be responsible for, and excludes all liability in respect of, any claims, losses or damages (direct or indirect) arising out of or relating to the use of and/or reliance on the contents of the Website. In particular, the Core Team will not be held liable in defamation, breach of confidentiality or for intellectual property infringement, except to the extent that such liability cannot be excluded by law
  9. Users shall not reverse engineer, decompile, adapt or copy any software or other code or scripts that form part of the website nor attempt to transmit to or via the website any information that contains a virus, worm, Trojan, or other harmful or disruptive component
  10. Users may create hyperlinks to the website provided that the link is not used in any misleading or defamatory context, nor otherwise associated with any unlawful activity
  11. All material on the website is © HSC Change Day Core Team and must not be used for commercial or other purposes by any third party. Subject to clause 12 Users may not copy, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, perform, display or sell any of the Core Team’s proprietary material
  12. Users may distribute, for non-commercial use and solely for the purposes of promoting HSC Change Day, the materials contained on the ‘Downloads’ page of the website
  13. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time and without notice. The most up-to-date version will be posted on the HSC Change Day website

Users Submitting Pledges to the Website

  1. In submitting a pledge to the HSC Change Day website, Users agree:
    1. to comply with these Terms and Conditions in their use of the website
    2. to ensure that any details provided to the Core Team are up-to-date and accurate
    3. to post only content which is not owned in Copyright law by a third party unless permission has been sought to post such material(s)
  2. By submitting a pledge and ticking the appropriate box, Users agree to receive an at-most quarterly newsletter from the Core Team
  3. Users shall only post material, which they have personally created, unless specific consent has been sought from the original creator of the material. Where material has been produced in the course of employment, permission to do so must be obtained from the relevant employer. The Core Team shall assume that such permission has been obtained where users post material on the website
  4. All posts to the Pledge Wall will be moderated by the Core Team. The Core Team reserve the right to refuse an individual to post to the site if the content that is posted is contrary to the Terms and Conditions or is deemed unsuitable for any other reason
  5. Users must not post contact details of individuals – either patients, employees or third parties of the HSC – in posts on the website. Such material will be screened off the pledge wall
  6. Users must not post any personal data of any person on the website, unless specific consent from that individual has been sought. The Core Team shall assume that such consent or authorisation has been obtained in respect of any such details posted by a User
  7. Posting of any material containing any confidential information of any third party by Users is prohibited. The Core Team accepts no liability for the posting of any such confidential information by any User
  8. Users warrant that material posted by them is not false, offensive, defamatory, threatening, obscene or unlawful
  9. Users acknowledge that in posting any content on the website, they warrant that they have the right to do so and grant the Core Team a royalty-free, non-exclusive right to reproduce, adapt and/or publish any content for the purpose of promoting or analysing HSC Change Day (including production of posters and other such documentation) and for the purpose of displaying content on the website
